15 Cycle Routes For Families In Kent

From country parks to indoor cycling facilities, there are plenty of incredible options for family cycling trips in Kent. Grab your bike and helmets and head off!

Tarmac cycling

Crab and Winkle Way - Grab your bike and head off on this beautiful countryside track! Don't forget to grab yourself a water bottle to keep hydrated.

Heron Cycle Trail
- This trail is a beautiful way to see the sights.  Lightweight bikes like our adult bikes are perfect for cycling on tarmac. 

Bewl water
- This sea view track is perfect for an early morning ride!

Cyclopark
- For those kids into gravel biking, this is ideal. Road bikes are great for this route since it's mostly flat.

Betteshanger Country Park
  - A great place for some beautiful scenery full of history, take your kids on this fantastic road route.

Crab and Winkle Cycle Way
- This route is 14 miles long and would take you 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. This is mostly full of paved surfaces so great to  take your kids bike or a balance bike with basket.

Eynsford ford Loop from Swanley
- This path is 21 miles long and would take around 2 hours to complete. You'll see some great pieces of history and breathtaking scenery.

    Bedgebury Cycle Tracks - A great place for those who love a dirt track. Mountain bikes would be perfect on this route.

    Perry Woods Cycle Trail
    - The perfect place for kids to get some fresh air in a fantastic part of nature. 

    Lyminge forest
    - A vast amount of space and air at your disposal. Make sure you grab your helmet and enjoy all the scenery has to offer.

    Oyster Bay Trail Loop from Canterbury West
    - This route will take you around 3 hours to finish. It's a 31 mile long route that'll take you past gorgeous scenery, breathtaking forests and fantastic history.

      Hythe and the Royal Military Canal -  A beautiful canal-side track on a tarmac route ideal for road riding.

      Viking Coastal Trail - Full of castles and history, this is great for a sightseeing trip. This bike ride is a fantastic choice for kids, plus it's a comfortable ride!

      Reculver Towers
      - This route takes just over 4 hours to complete since it's a 43 mile long trip. Along the way, you'll see some fantastic sights and gorgeous scenery.

      Thames and Medway Canal Loop from Gravesend
      - This route will take you past some fantastic scenery and through a wide range of various fields. It'll take you around 3 hours to complete this 32 mile long path.
