Bobbin x University of Cambridge

Check out some photos of our collaboration with the University of Cambridge.

We've produced a micro range of bikes for Cambridge including a classic racer, an upright ladies model and a gents roadster in British racing green, chrome and gloss black.

All models carry a jaunty stripe around the fork in Cambridge Blue (official colour "Spring Green"). The official University branding appears on the frame and details such as leather saddle and leather bar tape give the bikes a traditional finish. The bikes retail for £420 - £780.

Safari!

Mr Benn

Mr Benn was a slightly bonkers Bobbin bike helmet in the shape of a bowler hat, designed by Moody & Farrell. Made in a very limited run in 2010, Gary Fisher is amongst the elite club of owners. Joining this range was also the Sherlock helmet - a deerstalker hat, of course.

To our amusement, both designs have been copied!

2008 Calendar

This image was used in our 2008 Calendar, designed by Allan Deas. And each character even represented a Bobbin customer (supposedly!).

 2011 Photoshoot

As we were getting a name for ourselves as innovative bike photographers, we had to keep things rolling along in 2011. On that note, check out with these photos of our bike range taken on an original Diana camera, with double exposure.

Keeping it strictly retro, with no photoshopping!

2008 Photoshoot

Our second series of photos by Johanna Reubel, using Bobbin customers as models in their own fantasy.

First Photoshoot

All the way back to our first fashion photoshoot in 2008 - where we featured a gothic super hero on her Bobbin, complete with a sidekick Crow!

Photograph again by the very talented Johanna Ruebel.

Rebrand by AW Projects

For a long time we’d wanted to collaborate with our dear pal Ally. In 2015 we undertook a complete rebrand under her direction, and we were delighted with the results.

Channelling Dick Bruna, Tove Jansson and 1960’s graphics, Ally applied her new branding to print, packaging and bikes. Welcome to the Land of Bobbin.

Green & Spring

Green & Spring make natural skincare products in the British countryside. So, to celebrate their gorgeous products, we made a special edition bike for them, covered in tiny birds - it was even featured in Elle.

We love this special edition pink and green fade on the Birdie Watermelon!

Well we hope you enjoyed some of our wackier products as much as we enjoyed designing and making them.
